A couple of weeks ago, for her challenge, Anna made mini-skirts which were bad enough, though admittedly still precious. But this week, she decided to make shorts!
I suppose on the bright side, Usagi could always wear them under her skirts to add a bit more modesty. And even if worn alone, they do prevent her from flashing others when she is feeling particularly energetic.
Anyway, let us examine these new pieces for Usagi’s wardrobe.
The first pair of shorts is a simple white pair trimmed with some lovely lace. I do quite like the look of them, but I’m afraid they resemble sensible undergarments or sleepwear more than casual wear.
I have to admit, I agree about them looking like pajamas. But I think a doll could easily pull them off, they are still cute anyway.
And by the way, I used this tutorial for bjd swim shorts as a guide for drafting the pattern for these shorts. Thought that might be helpful to know.
This second pair of shorts, though thankfully less lingerie like, are also less attractive at least to my refined eye. A plain-ish gray color with at least a plain pocket for a decorative touch. I suppose they are serviceable and Usagi seems to adore them.
This last pair of shorts is similar to the previous pair though much improved by the addition of ruffles along the bottom hem. A perfectly darling touch, and they make the already short garment that much longer.
I suppose they aren’t the most dreadful things Anna could have produced. And they are quite fitting for Usagi, just for Usagi though.
“Anna also made these for you, she called them bloomers. :)”
I’ve actually been needing a pair, Anna finally remembered…
…Oh!
But these shouldn’t be out where people can see them. Better tuck them away for later.
“She also made you a pair of shorts too! Just like mine. :)”
Yes, Usagi asked me again because she wanted you two to wear them together.
“Aren’t they cute? :)”
Yes…but it doesn’t look much different than the bloomers.
First the mini skirt, now this?

Pleasant comments are always welcome and appreciated.
But please, no anti-doll comments. They are unnecessary and a bit rude. We understand that some people find dolls creepy or weird, but this is a "doll blog" that is intended for those who enjoy dolls. If you dislike dolls that much, don't waste your time reading doll blogs.
