Welcome to the dolls’ profile page.  Here you will find photos and information about each of my ball jointed dolls, including doll company, sculpt name and measurements. 

Hopefully it will both help you keep track of who’s who on the blog and serve as a guide in case you may be interested in a particular doll sculpt or company.

Hikaru

Hikaru is a msd or 1/4 sized ball jointed doll made by Mystic Kids and purchased from the Junky Spot.  The name of her sculpt is Evelyn.  She was unboxed on May 29, 2015.  She is the “author” of this blog.

She tends to lean toward more vintage or even antique styles when it comes to clothing and décor.  Some would think she would be happier as an antique bisque doll instead of a modern resin ball jointed doll.

Tea from her porcelain teacup is her beverage of choice, and she eyes dainty cakes a little too much to be healthy for an actual human being. 

She collects My Little Pony figures along with Usagi, but they “are NOT toys”, they are collectibles.  Her favorite colors are pink, soft blues and purples, and wine reds.

She tries to adopt the behavior of a elegant and proper young lady, but at heart is still a slightly spoiled little girl trying too hard to be a grown up.  Check these posts about her name and her personality.

She has a soft spot for all the other bjds in the house, even though they drive her crazy at times.  She thinks her owner is flaky and takes forever to do anything for the dolls, totally ignoring the fact that humans have things called jobs and lives.

Usagi

Usagi is a msd or 1/4 sized ball jointed doll made by Doll Family A and purchased from Alice’s Collections.  The name of her sculpt is Ding Ding.  She was unboxed on April 12, 2016.  She is my second bjd and Hikaru’s first bjd companion.

She prefers clothes that are comfortable yet cute and she loves cute or kawaii things.  Her first possession is a small Hello Kitty figurine that used to be a phone charm.  She also collects My Little Pony figures because they are “so cute!”

She also enjoys wearing matching outfits with Hikaru.  This has caused problems at times because Hikaru has very different ideas about clothing.

She is a perky and very active girl, though a bit odd at times.  She isn’t very familiar with the outside world, so lacks common knowledge at times, but not common sense thankfully.

Frequently asks Hikaru questions due to being naturally curious about her surroundings, naturally this both flatters and annoys Hikaru.  Mostly because her purely innocent observations tend to reveal a side to Hikaru that she would rather not show.  Check this post about her name.

Yuki

Yuki is a msd sized or 1/4 scaled doll purchased in two parts from Alice’s Collections.  He is the first male ball jointed doll in the house as well as the only hybrid doll. 

He started out as a floating head (aka “Usagi’s friend” or “the head”) made by Doll Family A that came free with Usagi as part of an event.  His sculpt is named Bach.  His body is made by Doll Family H and was unboxed on May 16, 2017 (Unboxing post didn’t go up until the 30th).  Check this post about his name.

Usagi says he is “super nice.”  The two of them are quite close.  His favorite dolls in the world are Usagi and Shiro, the ball jointed deer.

Yuki is a fairly quiet boy, preferring to listen more than talk.  He is a little sensitive about how “girly” he looks, and seems to prefer wearing simple styled clothes like jeans and t-shirts.  Hikaru may have other plans for him, plans that involve ruffles.

Shiro

Shiro is a pet doll made by Doll Family A, sculpt name is Luca.  This deer was purchased as part of an event along with Yuki’s body.  Hence the two have been super close even sharing name origins (see Discussing Names and Teacups).  Gender is currently unknown.  Shiro is Shiro.

Shiro is surprisingly cuddly for a deer and loves eating apples and prancing about.  Sometimes Shiro tries to fly (see Wordless Wednesday: “She Thinks I’m Cute!”).

Sakura

Sakura is a yosd sized or 1/6 scale doll made by Mystic Kids and purchased from the Junky Spot.  The name of her sculpt is Vanetta.  She was unboxed July 14, 2016.  She is the first 1/6 scale doll. 

She has a great imagination and is extremely curious and friendly, maybe a little too friendly.  Very talkative, will ask several questions in one breath, and not necessarily about the current topic.

She loves ice cream, donuts, My Mini Mixie Q toys, and has recently developed a liking to toy trains.  She likes clothes that have cute bows on them or that look like stuff that Usagi wears.  She chose her wig because it was the same color as Yuki’s wig. 

She thought Hikaru was a ghost at first and refers to her as the ghost lady.  She is quite fond of Usagi.  She is also close to Yuki and Yuna.  Check out this post about her name.

Yuna

Yuna is a 1/6 or yosd sized ball jointed doll made by Doll Love and ordered from Alice’s Collections.  The name of her sculpt is You You.  She was unboxed on October 26, 2016 (her unboxing wasn’t posted until November 5th).

She and Sakura get along well and have quickly become best friends.  She is a quiet doll, at least compared to Sakura.  Animals seem to love her.

Her first toy is a small Troll figure from a blind bag, Hikaru thinks it is hideous.  Check out this post about her name.

 

Her favorite foods include milk and ice cream and her favorite colors are pink (for obvious reasons) and sky blue.  She likes to wear flowy dresses that are pretty but still comfortable.  Her wig is styled with a cute braid across the top, you can learn more about it from this post.

She is a sweet and gentle girl.

Momoko

Momoko is a yosd or 1/4 scale ball jointed doll made by Kids Sky and purchased from Alice’s Collections.  Her sculpt name is Momo.  She was unboxed June 13th, 2017, however her unboxing was posted a month late.  Check out this post about her name.

Momoko is relatively more well mannered and mature than the other yosd dolls.  It’s something that Hikaru greatly praises her for, yet she still delights in childish things.

She seems drawn to vintage and retro styled clothing (like this adorable dress).  They seem to suit her mature nature and quaintly old-fashioned manners.

Misako

Misako is a MSD or 1/4 scale sized doll made by Clover Doll, purchased from the Junky Spot during their Black Friday Sale along with our purple Nano Freya.  Her sculpt name is Echo.  Check out this post about her name.

She is an exceptionally beautiful doll, but little is known about her beyond that because she hasn’t really “spoken” much since she was unboxed on November 27, 2018 (here’s her unboxing post).

Still, her thoughts are occasionally revealed at the end of blog posts.  She seems hesitant to express herself openly, especially to Hikaru, for fear of offending or insulting others.  She also seems to dislike loud noises, she finds Hikaru particularly noisy.

She has no real preference for clothing styles, except for her new boots. She finds them so comfortable that she is resists removing them.  

Misako has shown a fondness for our cat dolls, Tohru and the purple kitten. They make her feel calmer. She also is fond of Usagi, who seems cat-like to her. She shows affection to other dolls by patting them on the head, or it could be she's just feeling their hair (she loves soft items).  It’s alright because actions speak louder than words.

???

This is our newest pet doll.  It is a Hujoo Nano Freya, the first non-resin doll too.  It was purchased along with our Clover Doll Echo from the Junky Spot Black Friday Sale.  Here’s the unboxing post.

Name and gender are still unknown.  This little kitty is terrified of Hikaru, but adores Usagi and the children.  It has become good friends with Shiro the deer, they see eye to eye.

Makoto

Makoto is a yosd or 1/6 scale ball jointed doll made by Kids Sky, the same company as Momoko.  Because of this, she thinks of him as a little brother.

Makoto was purchased from Alice’s Collections and unboxed July 22, 2018 (the unboxing was posted here four days later).  His sculpt name is Tutu, and you can learn about his given name in this post.

He is currently the only boy doll of his size we have, and he is a particularly cute little boy.  Something he is a little sensitive about because a few dolls (specifically Hikaru!) have mistaken him for a little girl.

He is still fond of all the other dolls especially Yuki, whom he admires as a good male role model, and Yuna, whom he seems to have a little crush on.

His only belongings so far are a cute toy truck from a blind box and his welcoming gift.  A yellow plastic bunny, given to him by Yuna.

Mirai

Mirai is our first Smart Doll and our first vinyl "ball jointed doll".  She is about is 1/3 scale or SD sized, but because she isn't strung, she is considered "off-topic" for many bjd forums. She doesn't mind at all though. 

Mirai was unboxed November 25, 2018, but it was posted almost 7 years afterwards.

Mirai is a friendly doll who loves playing with the children. Her larger size makes it difficult to store her with the other dolls, so she spends a good deal of time keeping me company while I work on sewing and computer tasks.

Tohru

Tohru is a 1/4 scale or Msd sized ball jointed doll made by Aimerai, and purchased through Alice's Collections. Her sculpt name is Ling.

She was unboxed on September 22, 2025, but it wasn't posted until October 21. Check out this post about her name.

Tohru is one of Aimerai's cat dolls. As such, she has a number of feline characteristics including magnetic ears and a tail. The ears are a little sensitive, so she can't stand wearing most hats. And she is more partial to cream in her tea cup than actual tea.

Tohru speaks only in meows at the moment. And so far, only Usagi can translate. Our purple cat can understand her too and follows her like a baby chick. She also gets along with Misako who finds her presence soothing.
