Doll Tutorial Directory

It can be difficult to be a well dressed or furnished doll when your human has a hard time finding useful patterns or tutorials for all that is needed. 

This is why Anna and I thought it would be wonderfully helpful to furnish this directory of all the various tutorials Anna has discovered in her efforts to properly clothe and care for me as well as her other dolls.

Clothing

Dresses/Skirts

• Simple Sundress - Made for Iplehouse BIDs or similar size dolls.
• Christmas Pinafore - Made to fit Kaye Wiggs MSD sized dolls or similar, the measurements are listed.
• Cute and Colourful MSD Pattern - Includes dress, leggings, arm warmers and a tube top.
• Easy Fitted Bodice or How to Make a Dress to Fit Any Doll - One of my tutorials.
• Bjd Handkerchief Dress Tutorial - Should work for fashion dolls too depending on the handkerchief.
• Ruffled Skirt for 18 Inch Doll ~ Free Pattern - Super easy and will work for all doll sizes.  Should use the hip measurement instead of waist though, or this might happen.
• Cute Sleeveless Dress for Yosd Bjds - One of my tutorials, it’s Yuna’s first dress.
• Doll Dressmaking Series: A Wrap Dress - Uses patterns for their cloth dolls available through their email newsletter.  I drafted my own downloadable pattern to make this msd sized wrap top for Usagi.

• new! Half Circle Skirt – One of my tutorials.  Easy skirt for msd sized bjds, also includes a tank top tutorial.

• Bjd Shirt Tutorial - It’s an easy knit shirt/t-shirt for a 1/3 scale or SD sized doll.
• Collared and Cuffed Shirt Tutorial - Made for a 1/3 scale or SD sized bjd
• MSD Vest Pattern - Works for male/small bust female ball jointed dolls.
• Msd Sized Boy T-shirt Tutorial - One of my tutorials, for Yuki’s t-shirts.  That’s right, boy clothes tutorial!
• new! Faux Button Down Tank Top – One of my tutorials.  A msd sized tank top with a fake button down front, also with a half circle skirt.
• newt! Raglan Sleeve Tops for Yosd Bjds – One of my tutorials.  Can be made from a handkerchief or cotton fabric.

Jackets/Sweaters/Coats

• How to Make BJD Hoodies - Will work for most doll sizes.
• Sock Tutorial: Cardigan & Knee Highs for SD13 Ball Jointed Dolls - The title says it all, sweaters from socks.  I used it for these sweaters and made patterns for MSD and Yosd sizes.
• MSD/Yosd Pullover - Free knitting pattern download.
• Another Way to Sock Sweater (MSD) - A Den of Angels tutorial, you will need an account to view it.  A pullover sock sweater for msd sized dolls.
• new! Felt Coats for MSD and Yosd Bjds – One of my tutorials.  Uses craft felt.

Pants/Shorts

• Surfer Shorts Tutorial - Shows how to draft a pattern, so it should work for most dolls. I used it for these shorts for Usagi.
• Jeans for MSD Bjds - One of my tutorials, for Usagi’s first jeans.

• Tutorial: Dollfie Dream Socks - Can be used for any size doll!
• Modern Undergarments - Shows how to draft a pattern and make a bra, underpants and boxers.  Should work for most dolls.
• Turn a Sock into a Pair of Doll Tights - Shown for an American Girl doll, but will work for other dolls depending on the socks used.

Shoes

• Making Simple Shoes for Your Bjd - Will probably work for any size plastic doll, it uses clay.

• Cute Bjd Sandals Tutorial - Will work with most doll sizes, I used this to make these sandals for Hikaru.
• Lace Sandals - One of my tutorials.
• How to Make: Doll UGG Boots - A video.  The patterns are intended for fashion dolls and 18 inch dolls, but this could work for other dolls.
• Making Toms for Your Doll - A Den of Angels tutorial, you will need to have an account to view it.  Super simple Toms style shoes, will work for any size doll.

• No Pattern Bonnet - Made for 1/3 or 1/4 sized ball jointed dolls.
• Dolly's Handmade Straw Bonnet - Uses a mold, but has a link to where to purchase as well as other odd supplies.
• Lacy Collars - Can be made to fit any size doll.
• House Bonnet - Made to fit 1/3 sized ball jointed dolls.
• MSD Earmuffs/Headphones Tutorial - Uses the plastic ring on a milk bottle, could work on fashion dolls too.
• How to Make Doll Designer Headphones - Uses plastic bottles and buttons to make Beats style headphones.
• Headbands for Dolls - One of my tutorials.  Part 1 is for regular headbands, and Part 2 is for Halloween cat ear head bands.  Will work for all dolls.
