Anna has been doing quite a bit of online shopping lately. It seems to be mostly due to recent holiday sales for household items and human clothing. Unfortunately, nothing doll related.
Or so I thought, until this arrived at our door. Anna purchased a pre-owned doll from the site, eBay.
Inside the box, we find our new friend lying unwrapped among package material. How alarming, is she alright?
She has a lovely face with a simple faceup. Anna says she is made by a company call Night Lolita or Yeloli (Here's some more listings on eBay for them). It seems to be a company that makes large vinyl dolls for an animated television series in China.
She came wearing a well worn, but lovely dress. It appears to be her original dress. Hopefully, Anna will be able to repair it.
She has unusual joints. She isn't a ball jointed doll like myself. Anna said they are known as "hinge joints" or "mechanical joints". Truthfully, I find them a little unsightly compared to my own, but they seem to function quite well.
There is some sort of ornament attach to the black wig.
Here they are after Anna treated them. After washing and detangling, she attempted what she calls a "boil wash". A technique she normally uses for Barbie dolls. There is some improvement, but they still need more work.
And unfortunately, Anna's initial attempt to remove the ink stains has failed. It is fortunate that a good wig will hide them sufficiently.
But which wig indeed?
The blonde wig, though quite messy looking, looks lovely on our new doll.
The black wig does look charming as well, however, this is the dreadful wig that left those horrid stains in the first place.
Because the new doll's head is larger than Mirai's, we are unable to let her try on Mirai's wig. Such a pity, I'm sure it would have looked gorgeous on her too.
But wait, there's one more wig? Where did this grey on come from?
I haven't the slightest idea where this wig came from, but it looks perfect on our new doll. And she seems smitten with it, so we have decided on this one.
"Your hair looks so pretty. I am so glad you are here, and I know we are going to be great friends."
"Thanks, and I agree."
By the way Mirai, where did you get that knit dress? I don't recognize it at all, and I am certain I would remember such a charming garment.
"Oh, Anna bought it for me. It came with our new friend's wig from Amazon."
What! When did she?! Why didn't she tell me? And why didn't she get one for me!?
Because I knew you would react like this.
As mentioned in this post, I bought a set of SD sized bjd clothes from Amazon specifically to get more shoes for Mirai. And it didn't come is MSD size, so of course I couldn't get some for you, Hikaru.
Or better yet, the holiday dress she promised me. It was unfortunately delayed along with the Winter fashion show due to unforeseen events (I got sick, twice!), but perhaps Anna can manage it in time for Christmas?
Only time will tell. Until then, be at peace my dear readers.

Pleasant comments are always welcome and appreciated.
But please, no anti-doll comments. They are unnecessary and a bit rude. We understand that some people find dolls creepy or weird, but this is a "doll blog" that is intended for those who enjoy dolls. If you dislike dolls that much, don't waste your time reading doll blogs.
