Over the Summer, Anna decided to do a thorough cleaning of our living quarters, donating and discarding many unnecessary items in her closet and drawers. She naturally turned her attention to my own possessions and that of the other dolls.
She discovered that many of our shoes were damaged possibly beyond repair and there were a few other things needed. So, she placed an order at my favorite online shop,
Alice's Collections.
And after much waiting, it has arrived.
It took such a long time to arrive, and as usual, even longer to share with my fine readers. So, let's not delay any further.
As usual for Alice's Collections, all items are well packed to arrive safely.
There is a modest assortment of shoes, bjd wigs, and eyes.
Plus, the expected and most appreciative free gift of eye putty.
It will definitely be required with the abundance of eyes Anna purchased.
This is the
"special eyebag", a random bundle of eyes sold at a discount. Anna does love surprises.
We were fortunate to receive
a pair that Anna had intended to buy eventually. What luck.
However, these are the eyes Anna specifically chose this time. They are
ESH00816mm eyes in a most unusual yet attractive shade of pink.
Oh, I do hope this means she will finally get around to giving me a proper face up (
see Doll Owner's Corner: The Face Up). Afterall, I have been waiting such a long time.
Anyway,
my beloved shoes had broken down, and I was terribly in need of a replacement.
This lovely pair will do nicely.
These shoes have very secure crossing buckled straps with a delicate ruffle peeking from beneath the simple bow.
Anna particularly enjoys the flower imprints on the sturdy souls.
They fit my dainty feet quite well. I do hope to get as much use out of them as my old pair.
Anna purchased
these gorgeous boots for Misako.
Her shoes were damaged as well. Also, Anna felt they were a tad too large for her, and I quite agree. She needs properly fitting footwear.
They are a lovely white but also available in pink, red, black, and beige. They have adorable scalloped edging across the shoe and long the cuffs.
And just like my own fine shoes, these boots have the same floral souls that Anna adores.
They fit Misako somewhat better than her old shoes, though her feet are quite small leaving quite a bit of "wiggle room" as Anna phrased it.
Anna says she is quite pleased with them, though I find it difficult to tell. After all this time, she still hasn't uttered a single word to me.
Sigh.
Now for the wigs. This first one is
a coffee brown wig sized for a yosd or 1/6 sized doll.
It was purchased for Makoto who felt he needed a new style. His old wig has a large amount of volume at the top that caused him some discomfort.
Anna specifically allowed him to choose any wig he desired.
Seeing it on him, I must say he chose exceptionally well.
It looks most becoming on him. With a little trim here and there, it will be absolutely perfect.
Anna did mention that the main reason he chose this particular wig is because it's the same style as Yuki's, just in a different color and size. Somehow this does not surprise me.
What matters most is he loves it.
"Big sister Momoko, how does my hair look? Cool, right?"
"Oh, hello there. It is a pleasure to meet you, what is your name?"
"Ha, ha. Very funny."
"Yuna, what do you think of my new hair? (please like it...)"
"Umm...I think it's cute. It look nice on you."
"Yes!"
"Oh, Brother dear, she can still hear you."
The next
wig is this curly pink one purchased for Usagi. Anna thought the color and style would be perfect and a nice change.
It is a lovely wig, just with overly long bangs. Looks like a haircut is in order for the near future.
Overlooking the awkward bangs, the hair is remarkably soft and silky and formed in beautiful curls.
It comes tied in an adorably sweet style that suits Usagi's innocent nature.
Yes, with a bit of trimming and brushing, it will look wonderful.
Anna has chosen to keep Usagi's old wig for the time being. Afterall, one can never have too many wigs, they add extra options for making a fashion statement.
"Yuki, do you want to try on my wig? I think it will look so cute on you too. :)"
"...I'm good...I think it looks really cute on you anyway."
"What did you say? :)"
"Nothing!"
Speaking of having extra wigs. Anna purchased these two wigs as well.
This first one Anna picked purely because she adored it, and I can see why.
This wig is a lovely golden brown color and in such a sweet and classic style.
Here is how it looks on Usagi, Anna thinks it is such fun to let Usagi model wigs, and I agree.
It looks so darling on Usagi, I almost wish she would choose this one over her pink one.
I'm afraid the bangs look rather odd, not quite what was advertised.
That being said, it is still a lovely wig. It feels so incredibly soft and smooth to the touch.
With a bit of styling to the bangs it will be perfect. However, Anna says she will wait a little longer to restyle because she has a specific use for this wig.
"Hey Hikaru, if Anna planned to buy that pretty long wig and those pretty eyes, does that mean she is buying another doll? It would be fun to have another friend. :)"
Come to think of it...Could she have? Did she?!
That's right, I bought another doll! I actually ordered it the same day as these accessories, I just placed it as a separate order because I knew it would take longer to make. I didn't want to delay them too much.

Well, this has been a surprisingly day.
But, I won't dwell on it too long, there is much to do to prepare for the new arrival. Like getting Usagi a haircut, I won't have her looking so unkempt when our new doll arrives. And come to think of it, Makoto could use a trim too. Hmm.
We shall see how that goes, be at peace my dear readers.
What is Misako Thinking?
(These boots are so, so comfortable. The bottoms are bouncy and soft. I don't want to ever take them off. I'm worried that the white haired doll will think I sound strange for thinking that. Is it weird to want to wear the same thing everyday.)
Yuki ended up with eye grazing bangs. It wasn't exactly the look I was aiming for, but it looks great on him and he likes it.
Of course that means their hairstyles don't quite match as much as they did before. But that's okay right?
With Usagi, I had to trim her bangs layer by layer, again. Yep, just like with her old wig. It was actually pretty pleasant, the fibers on this wig are so soft and easy to work with.
Which was helpful when doing the rest. I had to take out the original hair elastics and re-tie each ponytail with a fresh elastic. I left the little braids out so I could wrap them around the rest of the hair, then I added an extra hair elastic at the ends to keep Usagi's hair neater.
